The North Carolina Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans is engaged in a non-stop battle to ensure the safety and dignity of our state’s many Confederate memorials. Although North Carolina has laws in place to protect these memorials, there are malevolent forces in places like Durham who have no respect for the law, for our common history, or for our right to honor our ancestors as they honor theirs.
We intend to keep up this fight and to simultaneously erect more memorials across our state that honor and recognize the sacrifice of our Confederate ancestors.
